Kara is an associate in our antitrust, competition, and trade practice, based in Washington, DC. Kara assists clients facing antitrust inquiries in mergers, investigations and civil litigation.
Prior to joining Freshfields, Kara was an attorney at the Federal Trade Commission, where she served as a key team member of the FTC v. Amazon litigation team. Kara has also worked as a summer legal intern at the Department of Justice in the Technology and Digital Platforms Section. She also completed internships at the Securities and Exchange Commission, in the United States’ Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York and for a magistrate judge in the Southern District of New York. Before attending law school, Kara worked in at the Department of Justice as a paralegal specialist in the Telecommunications section of the Antitrust Division.
In law school, Kara was an associate editor on the Fordham Journal of Corporate & Financial Law. She was also a quarterfinalist in the Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition and coached a student moot court team.
