MarketWatch op-ed: If the SEC changes this disclosure rule, the hardest part of being a company director will get even harder

Building on the constructive discussions that senior personnel from the top institutional holders of public companies had with over 150 representatives of publicly traded corporations during our memorable Zoom conference on June 30, MarketWatch published our op-ed today. The SEC’s proposed amendments to the 13F filing regime prompted the op-ed, but, just as important as being thoughtful about proposed changes to the 13F rules, is the op-ed’s explanation of the major changes that have taken place in the shareholder bases of publicly traded companies recently and what boards are and should be doing in response.
